Service Definition

Some materials are slit and rewound simultaneously, as it may be inappropriate to use the log cutting method.

There are a number of reasons why slitting and rewinding is sometimes the most appropriate alternative. The most common causes are as follows:

  • Damaged or wrong size cores
  • The material is wound too tightly
  • The roll has an uneven shape, and the cutting blade will bounce
  • The material is prone to excessive friction / heat build-up (causing welding)
  • Material Types

We are able to slit materials such as polypropylene, plastic (supple and rigid), paper, and most fabrics including polyester, satin and cotton.

    Size specification

Maximum roll length subject to type and gauge of material.
    Maximum rewind diameter: 480mm.

    Slitting 1

A machine for producing identical or various sized coils from a single roll of material

    Slitting 2

This roll is being reduced in width. The resulting coils on each end are discarded.
